The short version
We collect what we need to sell you a file and get it to you. We do not sell your details to anyone, we never see your card number, and you can ask us to delete your account at any time.
1. Who is responsible for your data
This site is run by Worship Files. If you have a question about your data, or want it removed, write to hi@worshipfiles.com and a person will answer you.
2. What we collect
Only what the thing you are doing actually needs. Nothing here is bought from anyone else or gathered from other sites.
| When | What is stored |
|---|---|
| You buy something | Your name, email address, the currency you paid in, the amount, which modules you bought, and a reference from the payment provider. Also the moment you accepted the terms. |
| You create an account | Your name, email address, an encrypted form of your password, and optionally your church and country. Your password is stored scrambled and cannot be read back, by us or anyone else. |
| You sign up for the free guide or newsletter | Your email address, and your name, church and country if you gave them. |
| You open a support ticket | The messages you send us and the order they relate to. |
| You leave a review | Your name as it appears on your account, your rating and what you wrote. Your email address is never shown publicly. |
| You browse the site | Your IP address is used once to guess your country, so prices show in a sensible currency. What you put in your basket is held for your visit, and kept if you gave us an email address, so we can remind you once if you left without paying. |
| You sign in, or try to | Failed sign-in attempts are recorded with the email address tried and the IP address it came from, so an attacker cannot guess passwords endlessly. These are deleted automatically after a day. |
We never receive or store your card number, bank details or crypto wallet. Those go straight to the payment provider and never touch this site.
3. Why we are allowed to hold it
Most of it is simply necessary to complete the sale you asked for: we cannot email you a file without an email address.
Order records are kept because we are required to keep records of sales.
Newsletter and abandoned-basket emails are sent because you gave us your address, and you can stop them at any time.
Sign-in records are kept to protect your account, which is in your interest as much as ours.
4. Who else sees it
We do not sell your data and we do not share it for advertising. It goes to a small number of services that make the site work:
Payment providers, to take your payment and confirm it: Stripe, and in Nigeria one of Paystack, Korapay or Monnify. If crypto is enabled, NOWPayments. They receive your email address and the amount, and they handle your card or wallet details directly.
Our email provider, to deliver receipts, download links and any newsletter you asked for.
Our web host, which stores the site and its database.
A currency service and a location lookup, used to show prices sensibly. The location lookup receives your IP address and returns a country code. Neither is told who you are.
Google Fonts, which serves the typeface this site uses.
We will also hand over information if the law genuinely requires it.
5. How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as we are required to keep sales records.
Your account is kept until you ask us to remove it.
Abandoned basket records are kept for a short period so a single reminder can be sent, and are then no longer used.
Failed sign-in records are deleted automatically after about a day.
Reviews stay published until you ask for yours to be removed.
6. Emails you can turn off
Receipts, download links and replies to your tickets are part of the service and are always sent.
The newsletter, and the single reminder if you leave something in your basket, are optional. Every one of those carries an unsubscribe link, and using it stops them immediately. We only ever send the basket reminder once.
7. Cookies and what your browser stores
We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and there is no analytics service watching what you do here.
One cookie keeps you signed in and remembers your basket, your currency and your language. Without it the site cannot work at all.
Your browser also remembers, on your own device only, whether you closed the newsletter popup, so it stops asking. That never leaves your computer.
8. What you can ask for
Email us and we will tell you what we hold about you, correct anything wrong, or delete your account.
When an account is deleted, records of completed orders remain, because we have to keep sales records. Those are separated from your account.
Depending on where you live you may also have the right to complain to a data protection authority. We would rather you told us first so we can put it right.
9. Children
This is a shop for church media teams and is not aimed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has given us their details, tell us and we will remove them.
10. Changes to this notice
If we add a service or start collecting something new, this page is updated to say so. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
Ask us anything about this
Data questions get answered by a person, not a form. Write to hi@worshipfiles.com and say what you need.
